Volunteerism opportunities are available for individuals willing to help by delivering meals to shut-in senior citizens, making home visits, making reassuring telephone calls and other duties that will help senior citizens remain in their homes.

Volunteer Opportunities in the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) and the Medi$mart in Alabama

Volunteering is an essential component of the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) and the Medi$mart in Alabama. The volunteers work in their communities counseling their peers on Medicare and other health insurance issues.  Become a volunteer counselor by contacting your local SHIP and Medi$mart Coordinator.
