The Gabriel Program assists individuals age 60 and over with managing their monthly Social Security and SSI benefits, as well as other income. A variety of services are available, depending on the client’s level of need. A client’s need is assessed on an individual basis. Our goal is to foster the maximum amount of independence as is possible for each client while providing supplemental financial management services.

Gabriel services may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Balancing checking and savings account statements

Assistance with check writing

Assistance in keeping records of expenses and payments

bullet

Developing a household budget

bullet

 

bullet

Advocating on behalf of the client in regard to financial activities

Negotiating payment plans with creditors

bullet

 

bullet

Being appointed Representative Payee by the Social Security Administration. As Representative Payee, the Gabriel program manages the monthly benefits on behalf of the beneficiary.
