Thank you for your interest in Jefferson County’s Housing Programs. There are several Programs designed to meet the needs of low and moderate income residents. Our service area (the Jefferson County Community Development Consortium) consists of all of Jefferson County outside of the city limits of Birmingham, Bessemer and Hoover. Jefferson County receives Community Development Block Grant and HOME Program funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. To receive assistance under one of these Programs, your family must be within the income limits listed below:

Urgent Repairs Only

Every homeowner realizes how much it cost to maintain a home. The Housing Division of Jefferson County offers a variety of Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Programs designed to help. These Programs are for qualified low to moderate income homeowners with URGENT NEED REPAIRS.
